Medical & Platform Disclaimer
Last updated: August 2026. This is a template, not a dated legal document.
This disclaimer explains what MediMate is — and what it deliberately never does.
MediMate is not a medical provider
MediMate is pharmacy-commerce and workflow software. It is not a doctor, pharmacist, or medical device, and nothing it sends over WhatsApp is medical advice. Any general information it provides about a medicine is not a substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare professional.
What the platform will never do
By design, the platform never:
- Diagnoses a medical condition.
- Prescribes medicine or changes dosage instructions.
- Claims a medicine is safe for a specific customer.
- Approves a prescription-required order automatically — a pharmacist always reviews it first.
- Invents a medicine alternative or substitutes one through an algorithm alone.
- Gives emergency medical advice beyond directing someone to a professional or emergency services.
Human review is not optional
Every order containing a prescription-required item requires an explicit pharmacist decision before it can be confirmed. A staff member can take over any automated conversation at any time.
No compliance certification is claimed
We have not claimed or obtained HIPAA, GDPR, or any regional pharmacy-law compliance certification for this platform. A pharmacy deploying MediMate in a real market is responsible for its own legal and regulatory review of that market's requirements.
In an emergency
If you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on a WhatsApp message to a pharmacy.
